Hello! I am Dr. Hazel Legaspi. I am the founder of Holistic Movement Physical Therapy, Inc. I am a physical therapist specializing in pediatric movement and development. I understand that every child is unique and movement involves more than just improving strength and range of motion--- it takes putting your child at ease with how they feel in their body and an internal motivation to move and play.
I believe that it all starts with a foundation built on connection and nervous system regulation. It begins with how we engage and interact with each other as caregivers and how we interact with children. I believe that for effective changes and progress towards goals, we have to be partners in your child's health --- together. Together, we have to identify and respect your child's unique qualities and strengths.
I am a lover of knowledge and continuously seek to improve my therapeutic skills to enhance the synergy between the nervous system and the rest of the body. I believe the nervous system is the cornerstone of movement and that fascia serves as the crucial bridge in how the body feels, moves, and heals. Without optimal nervous system regulation and fascial health, the synergy and connection within the body becomes stagnant and dysfunction occurs. I am trained in the gentle fascial modalities of

I have been working with newborns and young children in a variety of settings since 2010. I am a functional movement expert and use a holistic approach--- this means I look at your child as a complete person, not their limitations in strength and flexibility.
My experience as a pediatric physical therapist in a variety of settings has shown me how resilient babies, young children, and their families are. All kiddos are unique and deserving of individualized care. Families deserve more than what traditional facilities offer. Healing, learning, and development require a nurtured, focused, and holistic approach.
I am also a mental health advocate. I believe our own mental health as caregivers plays a huge impact on how our children and those around us behave and feel. To experience and make the most impact in our lives and those around us, we must start within.
Having a child that has difficulty with mobility can be very challenging and overwhelming, especially when they're so little. I am here to help make the journey of physical wellbeing and improved mobility smoother by guiding your child into a state of curiosity, exploration, and engagement.
The synergy between a regulated nervous system and an internal curiosity to explore allows your child to want to move, explore, and learn--- the foundation for holistic movement. I believe this starts with being kind. If we can be kind, we can allow the feeling of safety for children to be themselves... curious, exploring, learning, and thriving.
